Episode #250 The White House has pressured Bradley Manning defender, State Department spokesman Philip PJ Crowley, into resigning. Reports say 300,000 citizens turned out for the pro-union protest in Madison. Jamie discusses the 'nice guy' blog phenomenon, and why it's actually anti-feminist. Also, the terrible tsunami in Japan should serve as a warning to Americans: beware nuclear power and invest in national infrastructure. Some Godless Maniacs snuck into a Bank of America's investors conference (the first held in three years,) and demanded that BoA pay taxes. The ruling will be challenged in court, and the decision places new importance on the upcoming Supreme Court battle between David Prosser (R) and JoAnn Kloppenberg (D). Labor journalist Mike Elk reports on Gov. Walker's alleged "concessions," and the Shock Doctrine at work in Wisconsin. Also, Michael Moore visited the protesters in Wisconsin to offer them words of encouragement. Episode #247 Many states are considering radically anti-choice pieces of legislation, but what is the GOP's solution to women's reproductive health? Is Jesus now the national gynecologist? (http://www.thenation.com/print/article/158986/its-crusade-against-choice-has-gop-gone-too-far) Also, John McCain flip-flops on Gaddafi, Obama starts to cave on protecting benefits, a MMA fighter named Jeff Monson fucks shit up (http://champagnecandy.tumblr.com/post/3700964375/kidnameddirt-the-more-you-know-professional,) George Will makes an unfortunate statement about Mike Huckabee being a vibrator, and the major drug companies lose their patent on medication, so congratulations! Episode #246 Bradley Manning was stripped and left naked in his cell for seven hours, which is a familiar CIA tactic used to teach "learned helplessness." Jamie talks about Charlie Sheen, and the sexist way the media -- and Americans -- engage in Schadenfreud. Allison discusses the establishment media's rhetoric when discussing pro-democratic forces, and what differentiates a "terrorist" from a "freedom fighter." But mainly, this is the episode in which Allison finally gets a pony.
